Understanding the 1-2-3-4 System
There are a lot of roulette systems.
Kinds of Roulette Systems
One of the most famous of which is the Martingale. This is the first roulette system that people would immediately think about if they're asked about roulette betting systems. It's also one of the first systems that novice players would encounter the minute they start playing roulette. This is not surprising since many people would actually recommend the system.
Another system is the Grand Martingale roulette system which works by actually doubling up your bet and adding another unit to your losing ones. This system, however, is not well recognized because if implemented poorly it could mean losing a lot of money.
Other roulette system includes Mini-Martingale, the Anti-Martingale, the Oscar's Grind system, the 31 system, the Labouchere system, the 1-2-3-4 system, and the D'Alembert. The use of these systems is greatly encouraged by casinos. Unfortunately, not all are benefited by the use.
Getting to Know 1-2-3-4 System
If you are looking for a wagering device, this betting system is one of those worthy of note. This is one of the most frequently used wagering or betting roulette system in both land-based and online casinos. This is even more popular among seasoned or experienced players. You could actually think of this system as a version of D'Alembert, only that it is a one way D'Alembert that has four maximum units of ceiling.
What happens when you use the 1-2-3-4 system is that you would have to increase your wager size by one unit every time you lose a bet. You would have to do this repeatedly until you actually win your wager or reach the level four units, whichever comes earlier. If you win, the series ends. But if you keep losing and you've reached the fourth level, you would have to observe your limit loss. This is also to avoid losing more money that you can actually afford. Admit it, roulette can be addicting and sometimes people take risk with their money because of the thought that they'd get it back the next time the dice rolls. Unfortunately, they end up severely disappointed and broke.
Actually, the word systems seem inappropriate here because the 1-2-3-4 is more of a betting technique rather than a system. Players really do prefer to use this technique because the chance of winning is even bigger when you use the 1-2-3-4 system. The drawback, however, is if this method fails, you can find yourself in a huge financial mess.
